About Me
I graduated from the award winning Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and minors in Spanish and sociology in May 2024. I aspire to be a multimedia journalist and use my knowledge of sociology to share underrepresented stories as well as being actively engaged in the community. I am passionate about local journalism and helping inform communities to keep them engaged.
I was a news intern for WKBW in Buffalo, New York the Summer 2022. This past summer, I was a news intern for WBNG in Binghamton, New York covering the Southern Tier from stories ranging from parades to the first ever BIPOC Restaurant week. In the four months of my time at WBNG I created and produced more than 26 stories through packages and VOSOTs that were aired on the evening shows. I also had the opportunity to front in the studio five times on-camera. I experienced tremendous growth during my time at WBNG and cherished being able to be a voice for the Southern Tier community.
On campus I am involved with Ithaca College Television’s news show Newswatch where I have been a live-hit reporter, assistant producer, multimedia reporter and anchor. I am also the chair of performance for Ithaca College’s largest and longest running dance company IC Unbound.
I am from Corfu, a small town outside of Buffalo, NY where we did not have a local news outlet. I grew up as a competitive dancer and was involved in music and theater in high school, which sparked my passion for sharing stories, meeting new people and speaking in front of large crowds. I was also involved in creating a school newspaper for my high school which made my love for writing grow. This sparked my dream of being a Journalist.
In my free time I love to dance, travel, read, watch the Buffalo Bills play, and cook new recipes.
